Community Land Trusts

A Community Land Trust (CLT) is a non-profit, community based organisation run by volunteers that develops housing, community facilities or other assets at permanently affordable levels for long-term community benefit.

A Community Land Trust (CLT) is a model where the CLT ensures that any occupiers pay for the use of buildings and services at prices they can afford. The difference between the cost of the home or asset and the market value are kept by the CLT who holds the asset or equity in trust for long-term community benefit.

Parity Trust may be able to provide finance to CLT's who find a shortfall between any funding, grants and investment already obtained in order assoc clt logo resizedto complete the project.

We can also work with a Community Land Trust building affordable homes, to provide Shared Ownership mortgages - see the Bournemouth 2026 page for more information about our work in Bournemouth, Dorset.
